Follow these Driving Tips:

Prepare your car for winter: keep your gas tank near full to help avoid ice in the tank and fuel lines. 

Ice and snow, take it slow: slower speeds, slower acceleration, slower steering, and slower braking. 

Check your tires for good tread and proper inflation: consider using snow tires and keep your spares in the trunk. 

Maintain more following distance: don't crowd the plow!
