"It is Construction Suicide Prevention Week (September 9-13), and following up on our August 15 communication, we are sharing additional updates regarding this event.





A new video about construction suicide prevention from Assistant Secretary Doug Parker is now available on YouTube.




Also, please be aware of the following related events:



Monday, September 9: At 2:50 pm ET, please pause and join in a moment of silence to honor all lives lost to suicide.


 


Tuesday, September 10: At 12 pm ET, OSHA’s New York Region is hosting a webinar “Suicide Prevention and Awareness - Within the Construction Industry and Beyond”. The webinar will include presentations from professionals in the fields of psychiatry, epidemiology, occupational safety, mental health, and physical wellness. Please register here.



 


Thursday, September 12: At 11:30 am ET, the Associated General Contractors and representatives from large, medium, and small construction contractors will host a webinar, “From Awareness to Action: Workplace Mental Wellness for Contractors of any size. ” Register using the form at the bottom of this webpage.
