🔥 Extreme Heat is in the Forecast. Stay Safe.

Dangerously hot temperatures are expected across New York this week, with the Rochester area forecast to approach 100°F on Thursday. When temperatures climb this high, heat-related illnesses can develop quickly, especially for those working or spending extended time outdoors.

If you're working outside:

💧 Stay hydrated and drink water frequently.

🧢 Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing and sun protection.

⏰ Take frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning.

🤝 Check on coworkers, family members, neighbors, and pets.

🚨 Know the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Whether you're digging, landscaping, or tackling a summer project, make safety your top priority.

Stay cool. Stay hydrated. Stay safe.
