"Pure Safety Group (PSG) has released an immediate recall and stop-use on Guardian Fall Protection Self-Retracting Lifelines for leading edge applications (SRL-LE) that utilize a stainless-steel or web lifeline. A small number of SRLs with stainless steel or web lifelines were identified as non-compliant with ANSI Z359.14-14 and must immediately be removed from service. Under certain conditions, the stainless-steel or web lifeline may not perform to industry standards in leading edge applications and could result in serious bodily injury or death.
There have been no reported accidents or injuries related to this recall. All affected SRLs with stainless steel or web lifelines must be immediately returned to PSG for replacement. Replacements will be made with an equivalent model at no charge.
