January is Firefighter Cancer Awareness Month. Firefighters’ risks are significantly higher for some specific types of cancer than the general population. The Firefighter Cancer Support Network and International Association of Fire Fighters have partnered to provide firefighters the necessary tools and guidance to develop life-saving protocols for cancer prevention and to support those with a cancer diagnosis within their departments. Please take some time to review the resources available from the FCSN to help protect yourself and your members: https://firefightercancersupport.org
