"On Tuesday, August 8th from 9:00-11:00 a.m. (ET), NIOSH is hosting a webinar titled, Assessment of Elastomeric Respirators in Healthcare Delivery Settings: Routine Elastomeric Use and Evaluations in healthcare (REUsE). In this webinar, researchers from Wayne State University, Emory University, and University of Texas will present their findings from a study on routine use of elastomeric half mask respirators (EHMR) in U.S. healthcare delivery organizations. The aim of this study was to determine the feasibility and practicality of routinely using reusable EHMRs in healthcare settings. This is the final study of the Assessment of Elastomeric Respirators in Healthcare Delivery Settings contract which included the Just-in-Time Elastomeric Training and Fit Testing (JET FIT) and Randomized-controlled Elastomeric Studies: Disinfection Safety and Effectiveness (RESponSE) projects.
