National Work Zone Awareness Week (NWZAW) brings attention to the risks to workers, motorists and passengers in roadway work zones. You play a role in work zone safety, so work with us by making your plans to participate, April 17-21.
Participate in daily commemorations
April 17 – Work Zone Safety Training Day
April 18 – National kickoff event, hosted by Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT)
April 19 – Go Orange Day
April 20 – Social media storm
April 21 – Moment of Silence
Plan an event, promote NWZAW and use social media
- Create your own community/area event with help from the comprehensive “NWZAW Event Planning Guide” and watch our “Tips on hosting an event” webinar recording. Then submit your event to be posted on NWZAW.org for others to find.
Spread the word about NWZAW using the “NWZAW Event Promotion Guide.”
Follow and use #NWZAW and #WorkZoneSafety on social media. Include #Orange4Safety on Wednesday’s Go Orange Day."
