PHMSA's Check the Box Initiative

"Each year, approximately 1,500 transportation incidents occur when undeclared hazardous materials are shipped. To reduce the number of new incidents, the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) launched the Check the Box initiative, an educational campaign promoting public awareness of the need for safer shipping of hazardous materials."
