"In 2019, New York State passed the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA) – one of the most aggressive environmental initiatives in the country. A significant goal of the Act is to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by at least 85% by 2050. As one of the largest contributors to GHG emissions, the transportation sector will see policy and incentive initiatives structured to accelerate a shift to zero emission vehicles. To prepare for these initiatives, the trucking industry needs to be planning for the changes now.
Clean Transportation Initiatives: The Future is Now is a one day workshop designed to provide trucking industry representatives with the information they need to know today to plan for the future of tomorrow. The workshop will cover policy recommendations currently being considered to achieve the New York State’s GHG emission reduction goal, utility preparedness and infrastructure build out, alternative fuels, incentive and financing programs and more."
