Even with the introduction of new equipment and strict enforcement of OSHA standards, many workers die each year and many more are seriously injured in trench accidents. The purpose of Trench Safety Stand-Down week is to reinforce the importance of using trench protective systems and protect workers from trenching hazards.

This #TrenchSafetyMonth be sure to incorporate these tips in your day-to-day operations to prevent trench collapses and save lives:

- Slope or bench trench walls

- Shore trench walls with supports, or

- Shield trench walls with trench boxes
