The CDC encourages everyone of all ages to get the tetanus vaccine to prevent tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis “whooping cough”.


According to the CDC, tetanus should be administered as a booster dose every 10 years for adults.


(A tetanus shot may be needed sooner in the event of a serious or dirty wound, burn, or certain animal bites.)
